Welcome
to the Third Edition of our eNewsletter of this
year!
Amidst busy schedules as the
year's end
is approaching, FNSt South Asia is happy to inform
all of
our readers about our latest news and developments.
Katrin
Bannach has joined us in August 2007 and will
strengthen our
team in Delhi. We have recently accomplished our 2nd
Regional
Meeting in 2007, which for the first time was held
in Dharamsala,
seat of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan
Exile
Institutions. A group of FNSt's partners from India,
Sri Lanka
and Pakistan working in the field of economic
freedom has
just returned from an information visit to Berlin
and Brussels.
Apart from this, we are in the busiest quarter of
the year,
with many events and programs. Have a look for an

Visit of Harald Klein & Dr. Irmgard Schwaetzer in
India
|
|
| |
|
Dr.
Irmgard Schwaetzer, member of the Board of
Directors, and
Harald Klein, newly appointed Head of FNSt
Department of International
Cooperation, joined the FNSt team South Asia for the
2nd Regional
Meeting in 2007, held in Dharamsala from 28
September to 3
October. While the internal meeting was quite busy
with evaluating
FNSt's work and revising goals and objectives, our
partners
from the Tibetan Exile Community organized an
impressive framework
programme. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama granted
the group
an audience in which he showed great interest in our
work,
especially in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Professor S.
Rinpoche,
the Kalon Tripa, and other dignitaries of the
Tibetan Exile
Community interacted with FNSt staff at several
occasions.
We took the opportunity of Dr. Schwaetzer's presence
in Delhi
and organized a public lecture-cum-discussion with
her on
the topic "European Foreign Policy: International
Terrorism
and Other Challenges".
